The Gospel According to Lyman

I don't know if it is because he is my first and everything I do with him is a guess.  Or if it is because he has so much of his personality that matches mine.  Or if deep down he might be a heathen and it doesn't matter how well I do with him.  But sometimes, I worry that I am not a good enough mom for Lyman.  Sometimes I worry that he needs someone stronger, smarter, sneakier, more spiritual - the list goes on and on.  Sometimes I worry that nothing I am teaching him is soaking in.  Sometimes I wonder if I should start research how close some juvenile detention centers are so I know how far I will have to drive to visit him.  As negative (and lighthearted as much of it is meant to be) this sounds - I know Lyman is a good kid deep down.  But despite all my fears of his future, and my capacity.  Every now and then, he does something like this, and I feel like things might just turn out okay with him.

"Jesus Kroosified [crucified] himself for us." By Lyman Mackrory, Illustrated by Lyman Mackrory.  "A Story of Jesus's Life.

"Chater 1, How Jesus was born.  Jesus is cool!  Yah!  First, It was Christmas in a plase [place] colled [called] Bethlehem.  Prophets had prophesied that Jesus would be born in Bethlehem.  many of the people believed.  Some of the people didn't believe.  Soon Jesus is born.  Jesus's mom was Marry [Mary] and his dad was God, but his step-dad was Joseph.  It's most important that, an angle [angel] came to the sheperds [shepards] that Christ is born.  He said, 'Fear not, for behold a bring you glad tidings of great joy which be shall be to all people.  for unto you is born this day in..."
