This week we have been attempting to potty train Ruby. Can I just say for a minute what a terrifying prospect potty training is to a parent? I don't know why it is so because haven't we been dealing with their excrement for the entirety of their lives already? All the same, it is horrendously scary for a parent to attempt to potty train their kid.
Which is why I have to say that today's Thankful Thursday just has to go to the fact that Ruby is doing so well so far this week. We are on day 4 and everything is going splendidly. She doesn't have many accidents and in fact, day two produced only one. If we are having any trouble at all, it is that she still seems to be learning how to go on demand. This causes us to sit for long periods when I know its been while since she last went. This causes her to not want to sit that long because she is bored. Once she gets over that little learning curve, we both will be happy. But really I cannot complain. She even takes herself to the potty to go poo. After my last experience with potty training (Corilynn), I think I might just deserve an easy one.
