Excuse me, Ruby

Umm, excuse me Ruby.  But I believe you are not even 6 months old and still you are trying new tricks like this one.  Do you have to add the sucking the thumb to it? - cause I'm pretty sure you didn't need to up the cute factor.
And almost 6 month old babies are not supposed to be doing these plank tricks because that means they are trying to crawl.  And almost 6 month old babies are not supposed to crawl yet, because almost 6 months old babies are not supposed to grow up that fast.  Mothers of almost 6 month old babies don't want their babies to grow this fast.
If you don't mind, I would like it if you stayed little for a while longer. Like for 4-5 more years.
When you concentrate this hard on your work outs, you make your Mommy jealous of your ab strength and worried about possible bowel movements.
Excuse me Ruby but I thought I had asked you not to grow up more.  That didn't mean that the very next day you start to get on your knees to do knee rocks.  Mommies need time to adjust to these types of accomplishments.  We need time to reconcile ourselves to the fact that you will not always be a baby.
Excuse me Ruby if it sounds like I am not happy for your new discovery.  I am delighted at the light in your eyes and the brightness of discovery that I see when you learn you can do lots more with your world than you originally thought.  I love that you are learning your body and finding this accomplishment exciting.  You see Ruby, a Mommy wants her kids to always stay little and never grow up even as they cant wait for them to learn the exciting world around them.  When you show me that you are wanting to learn to crawl, I want to snatch you up and hold you so that you have to stay little a bit longer at the same time I want to put something sparklie in front of you to encourage you to try to get it.  You are such a delightful baby.  You always smile and giggle at your brother and sister.  Everyone who sees you wants to hold you or make you smile at them.  You have learned to make "mama" sounds which makes my heart flutter each time.  Little Rubes, I love you.
