Well I didn't end up completing the 3 hr glucose test today because after about a half hour with that horrible stuff in me I couldn't hold it down anymore and in fact it came up so quickly that even with a trash bin in hand I didn't make it all in. Too bad for their floor. Too bad I had to still experience the headache afterwards, pin needle sensations all over my body for 2 hrs afterwards and the exhaustion. Also too bad that I have to try the test again on Monday because I didn't keep it down. I'm so frustrated and stressed about this because chances are I don't have GD but if I cant complete this next try then they will just treat me as if I do have it. So Monday is my last chance - please pray for me.

I hate that test!!! Ask them if you can have an egg and bacon a little while before so there is some food in your stomach. I did it with the last one and it helped a ton. See if you can do it at a time of day when you're not as nautious. I know morning is always the worst so when I did it in the afternoon it wasn't as horrible.

so sorry :( don't even ask them, just eat an egg and some celery and water before you go. those will not affect your glucose levels. i hope it goes better for you monday...i hate the 3 hour test, so awful! good luck and i'll be praying for ya!
The 3 hour test is the worst! I hope everything goes well on Monday and that you can get this behind you.
