Just for a little fun, I decided to look up some gender predicting Old Wives' tales. I found this fun little quiz that went through a series of 15 questions and after a set of 5 it would give you preliminary results. Each question had something to do with some Old Wives' tale regarding how to tell what gender baby you are having. Here are my results:
In the first group I answered questions about about the volume and thickness of my hair, the rate at which my nails grew and if my leg hairs were growing faster than before pregnancy. I also was quizzed on if I preferred sweets to sour tastes this pregnancy and if I had morning sickness or not. (ha! That was an easy answer considering my never ending battle with the nausea that has made house in my soul!) The gender predictor gave me these preliminary results.
Interesting... Well I wasn't finished. The next set of questions asked me about if I carried the baby high or low, craved OJ, had colder feet generally than I did pre-pregnancy, and if I thought I was getting more "junk in the trunk" to use that fun little term or in other words if my caboose was getting bigger. The quiz also wanted to know if the baby's heartbeat had generally stayed above or below 140 bpm. My answers were compiled with the previous 5 answers to give me this gender prediction:
WOW! Okay, things are looking a bit one sided here. But wait, there is more to the test. The last few questions asked me about the shape of my belly (round or oval), which side the baby preferred to kick most on, if that kicking was generally high or low and if I looked like I had gained weight in my face or not. I was also quizzed on if my hubby was gaining any "sympathy weight". (Double Ha! Ha! - Andy gain weight? Impossible - somehow I got lucky enough to get all the weight gaining delightfulness in this marriage. Hey isn't marriage supposed to be an equal relationship?) Anyway my final results are below:
So according to some old ladies, I am going to have a girl. Well that is kind of fun. It will be especially fun to see if these old bags are right or if there is a reason people quit predicting genders based off of the speed at which my leg hairs grow. So now its up to you, my faithful readers - do you believe my results? Do you put any stock in Old Wives' tales? Or do you have any other Old Wives' tales not included here that I could answer to see if the trend continues?

My mom (who apparently does not know how to leave comments herself) wanted to make sure I put on here that she predicted it was a girl long before the old wives' did here. But then again she is one of the oldest wives I know... jk :)
I also think it's a girl, but that may be because I have a hard time picturing "youngest" boys. They seem to be better oldest siblings.
Orrrrrr I'm crazy. What's your due date again?
Fun. Fun. For some reason I've been picturing a girl all along too. But generally, I always guess wrong when it's other people's kids...
It's a good thing that you have some beautiful girls names on your list! :)
