Prayers and Hairs

If you promise not to tell, I will let you in on a little secret of mine.  Every night when I kneel next to Lyman's bed to listen to his prayers, I strategically place my head next to where his hands are.  Why do I do this?  Because of a secret indulgence.  I love to have my hair played with.  My sisters and I would play with each other's hair and it always feels so nice and calming to me.  If I bow my head near his hands to listen to his prayers - he will unconsciously play with my hair while he prays.  I pretend not to notice and for the few brief moments of his prayer I get to to experience to lovely things at once - his sweet words to God and the tingling of little fingers running through my hair.

Me too!!! Me too. I have found that if I ask my make believe loving children to play hair salon they will sometimes be tricked into a little heaven for mom!
