We completed our first home improvement job since moving into our home in October. We have done only minor repairs or fixes around the house but this is the first time we have done anything really big to change the house (except for changing the locks of course).
We installed a door in our basement where the basement meets the cold storage area. Previous there was just a green curtain holding out the cold air from the uninsulated area of the basement and the rest of the insulated areas. The uninsulated area is where we keep our food storage and long-term storage items. Here are some pictures of before and after our brilliant work.

AFTER - With our energy star door (below)

I would say it was a success for three reasons: 1- It didnt take ALL day, 2- We actually finished the job, and 3- We didnt fight the whole time. Soooo that is success if you ask me.
Also here are some pictures of Paris - our new boat. We are naming her Paris so that we can say things like "we are spending the weekend in Paris" etc.
