Thankful Thursday!

Recently it has been quite warm on our little spot of earth here in Ohio. The kids have played outside nearly every day this week and its been nice to see the sun shine again.

I am thankful today for the beautiful Ohio scenery that is around me. Yesterday I laid on the porch swing in the sun while Corilynn napped and Lyman played on the grass in the backyard behind me and I just laid with a pillow and a good book swinging peacefully. I felt the warm of the sun and heard all the birds singing. I am thankful to live somewhere where we hear nature in our back yard, see squirrels run in the forest behind it, watch the deer from our windows walk through our lawn and can walk to at least 4 different lakes within 1 mile of our house. Its a wonderful change from the busy Provo road works and traffic noise. Of course our friends in Provo are a definite void here - though it has been nice to recently feel like "wow this is my home? -I am so lucky, I never thought I would live so close to such beautiful surrounding."

A few days ago after Andrew got home from work we took a short drive to the biggest lake near our house (about a mile away) named Nimisilla Reservoir in Green, Oh (if any of you want to look it up). We had fun walking along the shore line and feeling the warm breeze and watching the kids have fun throwing rocks into the lake. We also walked along this little pathway they have that extends into the lake about a half mile - its just like the movies where its a marble stone pathway with big beautiful trees lining each side making a green canopy above you - on the other side of the trees, the sounds of the lake splashing on the shoreline and the glisten of the blue water. I am thankful today that I live so close to these things.

Wow...the view is breathtaking! We have been enjoying great weather as well. By the way, the Sandersons bought a home in Springville.
