I just not sure if I am doing anything right with Corilynn and her potty training. What other girl is ever this hard to potty train. And what other girl can be in panties for 4 months and still go through more pairs in a day than the first few days? I think she has gotten to the point where she just doesn't care. She will wet herself or poop herself and nothing motivates her not to. She doesn't care. I'm not sure I have even potty trained her or if she has simply learned the art of peeing on demand when I take her to the potty. Cause she doesn't even try to go to the potty when she needs to now. We have completely reverted to basically accidents all day. Its not even 11 am this morning and we have had to wash Lyman's bedsheets cause while playing in his room she peed all over them and then later she pooped in her next pair. She doesn't even come to tell me - she would rather play in the dirty clothes - Lyman comes to tell me. I seriously give up.

Sounds frustrating! But don't give up! We will have to brainstorm some active ideas to motivate her. Something is steering her to want to give up as well - or to be the center of attention? Just guesses?
3 years is the golden age. Find something special to give her every time she potty's on the toilet and see if it helps. We used gumballs and they worked like a charm. And then I used them to motivate for staying dry through the night and it worked! Meanwhile, good luck :-)
Let it be, let it be...
I struggled all summer with Eve and when I found out we were moving in December, I decided to put it off until we were finally settled down. In February, we bought a box of gummy bears and cute undies for Eve: she was so excited to get a candy for every time she went, she made up her mind that she was ready, and it worked. Now, number 2 took longer...she was just too scared to go, but after a few weeks, she realized she was ready...and she looked forward to getting 2 gummy bears instead of 1!
For my next one, I think I'll just wait until she finds an interest in it, even if it takes longer.
I don't know what to tell you...other than, DO NOT beat yourself up! You are awesome and I was SO grateful you were there for me when I was going through hard days with Luke. For the record, we still have some hard days, hang in there. 2 year olds sometimes just don't make sense. I'm sorry it sucks.
That's funny--just because I lived by you when you were potty training Lyman, and because I still have a while before I potty train Claira.
Eliza took forever to potty train! I tried everything. Finally I realized that the thing she loves the most is T.V. So I rewarded her with that. Good luck!
Um, I don't have any potty training advice to speak of, but I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed reading through your blog. Your kids are adorable and they are getting so big! You are a great mom Karalynne! I still remember in Sunday School Lyman was making a little noise and you said, "he always does that when he feels the spirit". I still laugh about that!
My girl was harder to train too! i always thought it was the other way around
