Last night we babysat for two other couples in our ward and the kids pretty much ran all over the house in a glee and popcorn induced mania. It was a lot of fun. It was our night for what we decided was sort of a babysitting co-op. We babysat last night and next Friday one of the other families will babysit and then the next weekend the last family will babysit. This means two free babysitting date nights a month! The last week of the month is an off week. We could have done a 4 week rotation with another family but 6 kids was a lot to watch so we decided we would keep it to our 3 families.
I am so excited to be able to have a planned date night with out the kids twice a month! Yippee!
Also late last night on PST my sister in law Cheryl had a baby girl, Emily. Congrats Cheryl and Emily on the long labor and the happy ending. I was awake early this morning wondering about her and how things went - I couldn't sleep until I went downstairs to check for their "twitter" updates. Yeah!

We do the same thing except we have one more family making it a total of 9 kids with another one coming in March. It is crazy, but totally worth the three nights of being able to go out. Also, our group the person who babysits gets to pick if they are babysitting Friday or Saturday.
We do a similar thing, but only once a month. We take Josh with us though because he wont stay with anyone at this point, but it is amazing how different it feels without a 3 year old tagging along all of the time.
Good for you guys!
We have dates each week...but we pay a babysitter. I don't know what I would do without that Friday night out. It's my sanity break. :D
