Thankful Thursday!

Well this is my first edition of Thankful Thursday and I have been really excited about it all week. I have thought about what things I am thankful for and its such a great opportunity to find ways to have gratitude. So I suppose I should say that I am thankful for Thankful Thursdays.

I am thankful for my husband. He comes home from work and looks so handsome and always comes straight to me and gives me a kiss. He loves what he does at work and I am soo thankful that he likes his job because I know what a horrible thing it is to not like your job but have to go to it. I am thankful that he loves me.

I am thankful for Corilynn's "skeezie ugs" or squeezy hugs. She wraps her little short arms around my neck and they barely fit around so her face is right up in my neck and she gives me big squeezy hugs and I love love love it. It is something she does to me all day long and I cant get enough. She is such a loving and sweet little girl and I am so glad to have her in my home. She has such a wonderful spirit and she is quick to feel and say sorry when she has done something wrong. I love that she loves her little elephant soft toy that we gave her when she was born. FYI we give all our kids a little African animal soft toy to be their little comfort toy ever since Aunt Cheryl gave Lyman a little Rhino when he was a baby. We have a few soft toys in the cubbard for the next kids to have and its fun for us to get to pick out the animal we think will match her personality. Corilynn loves her little elephant and gives it kisses and loves to stick her finger in his little belly button (yes he has one and it is adorable).

I am thankful for Lyman's 4 yr old logic. He is always surprising us with his little conclusions about life and it makes us smile and laugh sometimes. I am thankful that he is such a caring older brother and that he loves babies. Whenever we see one at church he is so all over it wanting to talk to it and hold his/her hand. He tells me all the time that he can't wait for Heavenly Father to say it is time to have another baby. He wants a boy then a girl so that we could have "matching pairs". There have been many times he has told me we should pray to ask Heavenly Father to give us another baby for various reasons including because we need someone to use his old firetruck toddler bed because he doesn't use it anymore since he is in a big bed. I am thankful that he was so excited during our last pregnancy to look at the biology book every day to see how "big" it was growing. He was also sad when that baby's body didn't grow right and that we were not having another baby anymore. He is going to be such a sweet older brother and I admire his faith about just asking HF and we will get one. I love to hear him pray about it too.

I am thankful for lots of other things that aren't as meaningful as the things above but still its Thankful Thursday and I thought of them so I am going to post them. I am thankful for rubber dish gloves that keep my hands from being gross and sick having to touch our yucky dishes as I load them into the dishwasher or wash them by hand. Having said that I am thankful for sponges on a handle that help me wash with ease.

I am thankful I am healthy and that I have good reason to believe I will be healthy most my life. I am thankful for our automatic doors on our minivan because it makes my heart jump for joy when I don't have to do anything but press a button to open the doors and get the kids in with ease. I am thankful I have friends who will let me gab their ear off whenever I want. This includes the many sister's I bother several times a week. I am grateful that I have sisters that are not only my sisters but also my best friends.

I am thankful my parents are on a mission because I think it is a such a good example for the rest of us and I am thankful for the enthusiasm they have.

And I have one last thing to be thankful for this Thursday. There are lots more I could say but lots more Thursdays to say them so Ill end with this one. I am thankful for dishwashers. It sounds like my life is full of dishes so I'm talking about dishes a lot today but really I love dishwashers. I love the little leap of satisfaction I get when I press the start button on them and then I can go do something else and I feel like I am multi-tasking. I am doing dishes AND vacuuming. I am doing dishes AND blogging. I am doing dishes AND wrestling my kids. See? Great or greatest invention ever made?

Tune in next time for more Thankful Thursdays.

I am thankful for sisters who are my best friends too... Heavenly Father really knew what he was doing when he sent them for me. I love the little tiny huggles from my girls too. Give those kids some kisses from Aunt Tiffany. I like the idea of Thankful Thursdays. I wish I had more time to blog. School prevents me from doing lots of stuff.
