Thankful Thursday

I am grateful for answered prayers. Recently I have had many instances where we have been praying for something as a family and it has worked out. Its nice to know you can ask a loving HF for something and know he is listening. I don't always have the faith enough to ask for the things I really would like because I worry that if it isn't His will then I wont receive it and although I am fine with His will because I know his plan has always been better for us than our own - it still is hard for me to muster up the faith and so I am glad for whenever I do that he blesses me and helps me to feel the peace that I desire about the thing I am praying about.

I am grateful for kids who are funny. They make my day so many times when they say something cute or funny. Especially when they are not trying to be funny. Like Lyman the other day just wanted to sound adult and be part of the conversation so he said in his most matter of fact voice: "Do you know how dog's say hello? They just look at you". It was awesome because you know he has been working that one out in his mind and its true --- they do just look at you. I also love that Corilynn will sing this silly song when it gets cold outside that I made up based off some other 80s song I heard once - "its as cold as ice, willing to sacrifice -- our love" she is hilarious when she says it on her own.

I asked my kids what they are thankful for today and this is what they said:
Lyman: paper airplane book, Daddy, playing outside.

Corilynn: purses, songs, kisses, hugs, cheese, movies, bumps (??), mommy's exercising - ok now I think she is reaching and saying everything she sees - I am wearing my exercising clothes.

Since Corilynn reminded me of it, I am thankful for my power pump class. Talk about bun burner! Totally a fun class with a full body workout. Yeah for YMCAs.

Ooh and one more really good one. I am thankful that tomorrow I get to go out on a date with a really hunk of a man (yes its my husband) without any kids! Yeah for 14 yr old girls that want to babysit. Yip yip hooray! To bad it is Friday the 13th.

I have a test tomorrow on Friday the 13.... All today I'm going to be studying. NOT thankful for that. I'm also not thankful for the apartment manager to show our house today. When I should be studying, I'm cleaning.
